The Good
NoAdware did a relatively good job of detecting the spyware and adware on our system. It was not perfect, but it still picked up on a large amount of malicious content. It does also protects from content other than just spyware and adware including, hijackers, popups, and tracking cookies. These areas do cover a lot of the threatening material on the internet, but it does not cover everything.
It will do a good job of detecting the spies, not great, but still good. The database appears to be updated rather often, which is really important. People are always creating new spyware and adware, and a product that is updated often is a real necessity.
The Bad
The software does not detect or prevent keyloggers and trojans. These are two very big threats to the safety and security of your computer and really need to be detected in order to be great software. Trojans and keyloggers are very powerful forms of software that can really do some harm to your computer and record a lot of information from your system. The program used a lot of the system's power. I could not run it in the background and multi task very efficiently at all.
The Bottom Line
Although it detects a fair amount of malicious content, NoAdware really doesn't stack up to the rest of the competition. The few areas that are lacking are very important areas and leaves your computer extremely vulnerable. I was very disappointed with how much of the system's power it took to run the scan. I prefer to run a scan and then mess around with something else while it is scanning, but NoAdware made it lag far too much for this.
I find it easy to use, on my pass, it DID pick up trojans, keyloggers etc., as another person said his did not pick up. I've run it successfully and found worms, malware, adware, trojans, keyloggers, downloaders...happy.
The Good
Most everything works very well on this.
The Bad
A full scan takes quite a while to run, especially today with large drives.
The Bottom Line
Good finder of all the extraneous stuff it needs to find in a system.
