Detailed Ratings The Good: AdwareAlert is very effective at locating and neutralizing threats. It will take your computer from a slow pile of junk, back to the performance machine it once was. It did a great job of blocking them all together as I surfed the web and hit sites that have been known for spyware. AdwareAlert protects from a large amount of threats, so you can feel safe from almost every harmful type of content there is.The software itself is very user friendly, and extremely easy to navigate and use. The scheduled scanning and automatic update features make it a breeze to use since you can install it and not worry about it after that. If you like monitor everything yourself you can just disable this feature, update and scan on your own, very simply. The Bad: Although it protects from a lot of threats, even more than some of the competition, there is still some software that beats it in this category. Even though this is its only downfall, in the Anti-Spyware business, the more you protect from, the better. It only takes one piece of spyware to grab that credit card number or social security number, so we need the maximum amount of protection. The Bottom Line: AdwareAlert definitely gets the job done. It will detect almost all of the threats currently on your system, as well as prevent almost all the threats attempting to install themselves. Even if it offers more protection that some of the competition, it is still disappointing to see a program that doesn't offer as much protection as some of the competition.

Goodby and Good BuyWritten by Helen Detailed Ratings Ease of Installation & Setup: AdwareAlert was easily and quickly installed.Features: It is user friendly. Ease of Use: AdwareAlert is fast. In contrast, Windows Defender (which I also use) is very slow. Content Quality: AdwareAlert found a Trojan that has never been detected by (always updated) Windows Defender and McAfee Total Protection. The Good: I did an online search to find AdwareAlert because I had been increasinly bothered by popups, even though I update and scan with both McAfee Total Protection and Windows Defender weekly, and my browser popup blocker was set on High On the first scan Adware Alert found over 300 tracking cookies and one Trojan. While I didn't expect the McAfee to find the tracking cookies I did expect it to prevent the Trojan (or find it). The Bad: I have had no bad experience with AdwareAlert. (I can't say the same for Norton Security and McAfee Security.) The Bottom Line: I visited this site to find out what other people have to say about AdwareAlert. So far I'm a happy camper! I no longer get popups every time I attempt to open new windows.The Bad: I enjoy every piece of the software package. The Bottom Line: Adware Alert helps my computer much. AdWare AlertWritten by Frederick Detailed Ratings The Good: It did detect a rather large amount of spys. The program does look very nice and attractive.The Bad: It took longer than what I would expect for it to run the scans. When the scans are running it takes a lot of my system resources and slows me down a lot. The Bottom Line: It seems to work well as far as getting spies but it is very annoying how much it slows down my computer when I run it. Would you recommend this product to a friend?: No
