Detailed Ratings
The Good: Dog Training Online truly is dedicated to teaching you the skills you need to be able to train your dog. The site is very simple to use and put together very nicely; this makes everything extremely easy to navigate. You are not required to read e-books, which could be a positive or a negative (which I will get to later). The positive of no e-books is that reading can sometimes be boring and watching video or audio is more interactive.

The ease of everything was very nice. For those that are not great with computers, there is almost no way to mess up logging in and just clicking on which lesson you would like to watch. The fact that it is done in videos rather than e-books is very innovative and original, in the dog training market anyway.

The Bad: Even though the videos may be a little more entertaining and can keep your attention easier than an e-book, e-books can (and do) go much more in depth. The videos would just be too long and hard to make if they offered the amount of detail you can get out of an e-book. While it may be convenient that everything is online, I would rather have the option of downloading and owning the material myself as well. Also, the videos are more of presentations than videos. They still offer knowledge, but they didn't quite capture the essence of video lessons.

The Bottom Line: Even the Dog Training Online has some great information and can get you well on your path to training your dog, it just does not have enough to offer. The idea of doing video lessons is an aspect proven to be positive, but they don't quite give you the full experience of video lessons. The lack of information is just not enough to make the switch from e-books to "video."

Review SummaryThe amount of content provided from Dog Problems is unprecedented. The site gets updated very regularly, and new articles are posted all the time; that along with the member's forums make Dog Problems by Adam Katz the best.Sit Stay Fetch by Daniel Stevens has a lot to offer everyone. The techniques are great and the e-books are packed with amazing information. It comes very close to the top of the list, but gets barely beat out.The e-books, short animated video presentations, and bonuses are well done, but the price might scare you away. The main e-book presents dog problems through specific case studies. No video, audio, or member forums. No e-books or audio to download. You watch streamed presentations directly online. Great for visual learners. Not great for those who want in-depth explanations.

[DESCRIPTION FROM MANUFACTURERS WEB SITE]

Dear Dog Lover,

There’s no shortage of dog trainers, each one saying something different – all claiming that theirs is simple, fast, and easy. And since it’s so important to start your dog off on the right paw, I want to ask you an important question:

Why should you listen to me?

Well, in addition to having all the qualifications and experience you should expect, here’s a little something that makes me different from the other trainers…

I am a professional Hollywood North dog trainer.

Some of the feature films I've worked on include: Saved! and Sam's Lake; TV shows: Romeo, Behind the Camera: Charlie's Angels, and Cougar Crossings; and commercials, including: The Source.

This is the dream job that every professional dog trainer wants but is so hard to accomplish. You really have to know your stuff. And, you need to show results FAST.
