There is absolutely no doubt that Learn and Master Guitar is a great resource to get you playing guitar. The amount of information covered is incredible. You will learn everything form the parts of the guitar to tons of different songs using all kinds of different chords. The lessons are all on DVD as well as printed in the book, so you are able to follow along in multiple ways.
Learn and Master Guitar is definitely very well produced. There was a lot of time and money invested into making sure that it not only teaches how to play guitar, but it teaches it well. The lessons are very easy to follow along and care was taken not to cram our heads with too much information at once.
Well, the first thing noticed is that this type of quality comes with a rather steep price. I really would like to have seen more of an online aspect. The lack of online features is the only negative aspect of the entire package. Online information is not even necessarily needed, but it is no doubt that the more options available, the better.
Learn and Master Guitar entirely does the job it set out to do, teach you how to play the guitar. The quality offered is what has kept Learn and Master Guitar on top for so long. Learn and Master still stands above the rest of the competition if you want to be able to rock out like your favorite guitarist in no time.
This is almost as good as having a real instructor. As a professional guitar teacher myself, I can say that the techniques and strategies used in here are top notch. With the quality of Learn and Master Guitar, I feel completely confident recommending it to people.
The Bad
Even if it is ALMOST as good as a true instructor, no program can match the quality of instruction received from a real instructor.
The Bottom Line
I bought this as an instructor to supplement my own lessons. As a professional guitar instructor, I can honestly say that this is a great resource to either supplement real lessons, or if you absolutely do not have time, replace real lessons. I let my students take parts of the program home to study and use as homework, and so far the results have been great!

The Bottom Line
First off, I am not a guitarist; I am a singer. I wanted to be able to supplement my singing by playing guitar also. I am not to the point where I am well enough to be comfortable playing shows, but I don't think it is going to be much longer. I was not too sure about buying it at first since it is kind of expensive for a high schooler like me, but overall I am glad I did it. I really wanted to learn how to play and this seems to be working out great for me. I have showed it to my friends and one of them ended up getting his own copy too.
The best thing is just how simple it is. I pop the DVD into my player and I am off. I am learning really fast. The Jam Along CDs are a lot of fun too and realy help to mix it up.
The Bad
I wish there was a better way to communicate with people when I get stuck. I ended up joining a different forum, but I wish there were better features for Learn and Master Guitar online.
The Bottom Line
I have not once regretted buying Learn and Master Guitar. I did a lot of research and digging around on the web before finally getting it, and I can honestly say I made a great decision. See ya on the radio.
I bought this as a gift for my 14 year old son. He wanted a new guitar, but I told him he had to use the older one we have laying around the house to prove to me he is dedicated. I went ahead and purchased Learn and Master Guitar to help him also. It was definitely a great investment. I couldn't believe how fast he learned to play. I am proud to say he has earned that new guitar he wanted also. I have watched a lot of the lessons too, and I am actually going to start watching them more and using that older guitar now.
I was very impressed with the professional level quality of it. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after recieving it in the mail (which was very quick) I saw that it was no rip off.
The Bad
There is nothing bad about about the program.
The Bottom Line
Getting it for my son proved to me that it doesn't matter the age, anyone can use this. As soon as he gets finished with it I am going to learn myself, then maybe pass it on to a friend so it doesn't just collect dust at our house.
I don't even know where to begin on this one! Everything about the program was excellent. Dealing with them in purchasing was great, shipping was quick, and the first impression of the package is very nice. It was very obvious the amount of time and effort put into creating it.
The Bad
At first the price seemed a little high. (but then I got a quote from a real instructor in my town and changed my mind)
The Bottom Line
In my musical "career" Learn and Master Guitar is probably my best purchase ever, aside from my new Alvarez. I knew a few basic chords and could play some tabs before; now I write a lot of my own songs and have even played a few shows at the local venue.

The Good
The instructions were extremely thorough. I started out knowing absolutely nothing about music, and even I was able to understand it very easily! It offers so many great features that make it really effective. The video and audio lessons help tremendously.
The Bad
There was no disappointment for me. Sure it would be nice to have more online content like the others said, but that is not much of a necessity to me.
The Bottom Line
I absolutely loved Learn and Master Guitar. I had wanted to learn to play guitar for a really long time, but was always too busy to go to a real instructor; that's why this worked so well for me, I got to use it whenever I had time and had no commitments when I didn't have time.

High quality training videos - not just a kid playing a guitar in front of you. DVD based training so I can learn on my big screen. Forum online so if I get stuck I can get help.
The Bad
Not as many features as I might like. Some music sharing things would be great on their website.

Superb guitar training program. I would highly recommend this to anyone trying to play the guitar that has struggled for a while.
