Detailed Ratings Ease of Installation & Setup: Installation and setup are simple with this product. Easily downloaded audio files as well as the Mnemonic Flashcards are a click away. One click on the appropriate section will bring you to a download window which walks the user through the download. You are not required to download anything though, as everything is available online and can be accessed from any computer.Features: Spanish is Easy is a 278 page E-book that will help you learn the Spanish Language. For $19.95, you get the E-book, 31 audio lessons, and a Spanish Mnemonic Flashcard download. The E-book can be downloaded or viewed online. 31 lessons are included and each lesson is designed to be a 15-25 minute section. They are short and to the point so that the user can study one lesson a day. 31 audio lessons accompany the E-book and can be listened to online or downloaded in MP3 format. These are also very short lessons running about 5-10 minutes per lesson. Focusing primarily on pronunciation and vocabulary, the audio lessons are taught with native Spanish speakers saying phrases for the user to repeat. Spanish is Easy also comes with a Spanish Mnemonic Flashcard system. It is a download that will help the user study. By inputting terms and ideas into the download, the user can have the Mnemonic Flashcard system quiz them. Ease of Use: Spanish is Easy is just that, easy to use and navigate. After purchase, you are given a password to login. When you go to the website, a window will open asking for the password. Once the password is input, you are taken to the website. All of the features are on one page. By clicking on the area that you would like to use, the site will open another window with that section. Content Quality: Spanish is easy takes a different approach to teaching the Spanish Language. Rather than taking the usual path of teaching a lot of vocabulary and ideas, this product tries to teach Spanish by using the words that are similar in both Spanish and English, and then expanding slowly throughout the lessons. Spanish is Easy teaches by using cognates and mnemonics. This works for some things, but not all. It is very simple to read and understand, but doesn't show all of the nuances of the language. Each lesson is designed to be read in about 15-25 minutes. Lessons are divided so that only one lesson should be learned per day. Although users will learn some vocabulary, other aspects of Spanish are not discussed in very much detail, such as tenses. Although a part two is advertised, this E-book leaves some things out that are pretty important to learning the Spanish Language. Audio files are about 5-10 minutes per lesson while focusing mostly on pronunciation and vocabulary. Two Spanish speakers have conversations, allowing users to translate. If a new word is introduced, then a narrator will tell the listener what the word means and how to pronounce it. Then this word is used in a conversation. Sound quality is good and the material is pretty helpful. All of the audio files are in MP3 format, so they can be downloaded and put on different MP3 compatible players. Downloading the files is a great option if you would like to learn on the way to work, while working out, or just relaxing after a busy day. Spanish Mnemonic Flashcards are one of the stronger options available in this product. It is a helpful tool that, once downloaded, can be customized to help users study vocabulary, writing, and speech. This flashcard system, allows the user to input any idea or group of words that they would like to be quizzed on. After all of the concepts have been manually input into the system, then a question will appear on the screen, quizzing the user. It is completely customizable to the user, making it extremely helpful with your trouble areas. The Good: Spanish is Easy is a simple product to get into. It can help the user learn Spanish vocabulary; especially the words that are similar in spelling or sound like their English counterparts. The audio files are a good way to hear correct pronunciation and vocabulary usage in real world situations. Spanish Mnemonic Flashcards are a great bonus for helping the user overcome harder concepts and is customizable for each individual that uses it. Shorter lessons help to teach one concept a day. The Bad: Vocabulary is the focus. Things are left out of the teaching process, such as different tenses and when to use different conjugations. Although the E-book teaches vocabulary, many of the other nuances of the Spanish language have been excluded. The Bottom Line: Overall, Spanish is Easy is a decent product. It gives enough information to be helpful, and at only $19.95 is informative enough to use. Short lessons are a good way to learn a little a day, making it easy to learn whole concepts in the month allotted. Although the E-book feels lacking in some areas, as a whole it is not a bad teaching tool. The audio files are helpful and short and the Spanish Mnemonic system is a very neat idea. Other Spanish teaching E-books on the market do a better job, but for the price this one does alright.
