The Good Thinecron's Gold Guide incorporates philosophies developed in the real world that transfer over to success in World of Warcraft. In a nutshell, if you are experienced using Ebay, then you already understand the concepts of the Auction House and are able to put your knowledge to work. This guide also puts much emphasis on using the Auction House to make your money. The Auction House truly is the best way to make money on World of Warcraft, and the detail provided is great. There is a lot of detail put into showing you exactly which vendors sell items that you can buy and head straight to the Auction House to sell for a profit.



There is not much emphasis at all on grinding for gold. I was happy to see this because a lot of guides use grinding for gold sections as just filler. There are a few exceptions out there that go into detail, explain thoroughly, and use maps and diagrams, but for the most part it is strictly filler. I really liked the extreme detail included with installing the add-on that you are informed to install. It even includes images to show the steps.
The Bad Thinecron's Gold Guide is not detailed enough. It tells you just enough information to get an idea of how the strategies work, but not near enough to truly understand it. This will end up wasting your time and causing much frustration.



Another negative aspect I noticed was the errors in the text. Everyone makes mistakes on grammar and spelling sometimes, but there really are a lot of errors in this guide. This may not be that big of a deal, but it says a lot about what the vendor of the guide thinks about the product. If he doesn't have time to fix the simple spelling and grammatical errors, he can not possibly care very much about the guide.



There are a few techniques that I believe many people would find unethical. The guide shows multiple ways to take advantage of other people. Some may feel that this is not a problem since the other people are allowing themselves to be taken advantage of, but many people will realize that it is not an ethical practice.
The Bottom Line Content wise, Thinecron's Gold Guide was above average. The Auction House was heavily emphasized which is exactly what should happen in a World of Warcraft Gold Guide. Even with the correct ideas, the evidence was not there to support it. After reading it, you would not have been able to go straight to the game and start making money fast. The guide is very short and to the point; I actually felt like this hurt it since you only get 39 pages, and a few of those pages are dedicated to other things. I was also really disappointed to see that some of the methods were unethical. I know there are many unethical people out there, but I feel people play World of Warcraft to have a good time and I would never want to take advantage of someone's fun to make myself more gold.



There was one guide that will have you understanding the methods faster than any other guide out there. The guide that had all the right stuff and was effective almost immediately is Valkor's Gold Making Guide.
