The Good: "Vocal Release" is a very large product that is great for all levels of singing ability. If you are new to singing or have had lessons in the past, you can find something here that will increase your singing ability. The lessons start at the basics, covering topics such as the right way to breathe, control pitch and tone, and voice control. It then moves progressively more difficult in the later lessons. Also covered in the course is some excellent material on controlling the different forms of voice; falsetto, chest voice, middle voice, and head voice. By the time you have completed this course, you will know how to control your singing, breathing, and also advanced techniques, such as singing when you are sick.

Throughout the course, the difficulty rises gradually and offers professional tips for advanced users such as how to select a microphone and the most important lesson of all, how to find your style of singing and use it to its fullest potential. There are also some decent bonus products that come with the purchase that, although are not as developed as the main course, are decent additions to the main course. These bonuses cover song writing and a rhyming guide. Although they are not near as deep as any of the lessons, are a great plus for users interested in writing their own material. If you are looking for a product that will help you learn how to sing, even if you have never had instruction before, then this is a great choice.

The Bad: The e-book itself is very instructional and can feel somewhat dry in spots. It can feel like reading a textbook instead of an exciting instructional product. This only occurs in certain areas and is not all that detracting from the lessons. Also, the audio CD's could have a little less talking and a few more activities instead. Missing from lessons are diagrams, charts, or pictures that could really have added to each section. Lessons on reading and understanding music are not covered and are definitely missed compared to other products on the market.

The Bottom Line: Overall, "Vocal Release" has a lot of great material in it. It can tend to drag in some lessons, but mostly delivers relevant information in a way that can be approached no matter what the users starting ability. Each lesson is very in depth and covers a wide variety of material at increasing levels of difficulty. Other courses available cover more material and a couple offers a better experience, but this does have a lot of value that will help you develop as a singer.
