The Good: There is a ton of information available. They cover different types of styles from Jazz to Blues to Country. All of these sections cover from the very beginner through intermediate on to advanced techniques. They have lessons being taught by multiple guitarists that bring all different styles and backgrounds to the table. The lessons are done in video format so that you don't have to learn just by reading, but you can learn by watching and playing along with the teacher.

I really like the organization of the site. It was very clean and specific as to what you would find and where you would find it. After seeing some of the less organized competition, this was definitely a big relief. They really do a good job of taking it one step at a time and not overloading you with too much information. They break everything up so that you can learn it piece by piece.

The Bad: Video Guitar Lessons doesn't have a forum area. I feel like this almost a necessity because there is no way to address every single problem someone is going to encounter beforehand in the video reviews. Although the video review aspect is very nice, you are not given the option of both video, audio, and text lessons. The more options available to help you learn, the better.

The member's area was nothing special at all; not just the fact that there was no forum, but it was just the videos and that is all. You can comment on the lessons or ask questions to get a more in depth explanation. It made me feel like they spent more time trying to get you to purchase rather than making sure you are happy once you purchased. It also doesn't cover the extreme basics such as the parts of the guitar. This may not be a big deal to most people, but if someone is an extreme beginner, this will help greatly.

The Bottom Line: Even though it is lacking in some key features, Video Guitar Lesson does a good job of teaching you to play guitar. All the other features are not exactly necessities, but they would definitely make this program much more enjoyable. I didn't like how much name dropping they did for the people that they used in the lessons. Some of the people that were bragged about the most on the sales page had the smallest sections in the whole site. I would rather them not spend so much time name dropping and fact dropping and just prove to us that the person can play. Overall, it will do the job of teaching you how to play guitar, just with not as many perks as a lot of other products.

Review SummaryLearn and Master Guitar by Steve Krenz is the ultimate guitar training program avialable. It comes with a 60 Day No Questions Asked Guarantee. It covers complete beginners to experts, fingerings, chords, advanced techniques, and is the closest thing to a personal tutor available. Simply put, it is professional guitar training.Providing an incredible e-book, video, audio and software materials, and corresponding lessons, Jamorama offers all of the training you will need to become a better guitar player. Whether you are new to guitar, or are a seasoned veteran, Jamorama will have you playing the guitar like a pro. A great low cost alternative.
Next Level Guitar is one of the top guitar lesson sites available. It has a lot of information available for you and while it is not the best option, it is still a good option.
This site is the creme de la creme. It offers a massive amount of high-quality materials at a great price. Included is multimedia, software, and a great e-book.
Sam Ash Music Institute has so much potential. It is setup great and offers the users everything in the perfect form. There was not as much emphasis on teaching the basics to music and teaching the popular songs instead.

Video Guitar Lessons achieves the goal of teaching people how to play guitar. It just does not do it quite as good as all the others. Their system is good with videos, but they don't offer enough ways to get the lessons across.
