Car-Auction.com claims to offer a searchable database of unbelievable "secret" deals on cars and other seized property auctions. While they do offer external links to other auction websites, they do NOT deliver what is oringally claimed. Furthermore, their pricing structure is confusing.

[DESCRIPTION FROM MANUFACTURERS WEB SITE]

Every month, 1000s of cars become government property through seized and foreclosure laws. Since there are so many cars in these government auctions, and the enormous costs for storage, these cars must be sold fast and cheap!

By completing a simple search right here you can take advantage of these great cars of all kinds.

Car-Auction has a database full of thousands of different repo cars just waiting for you to bid on! You cannot find a better way to purchase a car than through online repo auctions. Buying a car can be a difficult decision and a stressful process.

Make buying your new car fun by purchasing through government & surplus auctions!

Detailed Ratings

Features Car-Auction offers a homepage with an advanced search option that seems to be exactly what users desire. Once you put in the model of the car of your dreams and insert your zip code and city, the website shows listings of cars they have sold within the last 48 hours. To see cars being presently sold, a user should become a member. However, once signed up, the advanced search option that is present on the homepage of the website is not present in the members area. Instead, a scant listing of auction websites appears.

In the members area, once a category is chosen, a list of other auction sites are shown. Car-Auction.com has done some work in collecting links to government sites, for example, but a user cannot search the Car-Auction database because it does not exist.

Car-Auction lists several external auction sites per category. In the category labeled Jewelry, for example, the site repeats an external auction site named Bidz nine times, an unbelievable amount of repeated links for one page.
Ease of Use Car-Auction is quite easy to use. You can sign up and pay with a credit card using Click-bank.net, a quality credit card processor. Once paid, a user receives his or her password via e-mail and is immediately ready to search. The members area offers nothing extravagant and is not updated that often. It is not difficult to navigate because all that is required is for a user to choose a category and press the search button.
Content Quality The overall quality of the homepage and sales page is top-notch. Users are led to believe that they will instantly be able to search for unbelievable auctions from this websites database. It simply is not true. Users are given access to a database of links. Many are repeated numerous times, such as Ebay.com, which is listed and repeated in almost every category. While this website might be decent for those who are just learning about the Car Auctions world, it simply does not deliver what it leads one to believe. Furthermore, the website claims to offer secret repo auctions, which it does not.
The Good The website is easy to navigate and search. Car-Auction has put a lot of energy and effort in selling their product, but they have yet to do the same in the members area. If you simply want to have a database of links that takes you to real auction websites, this would be the choice.
The Bad The cons of Car-Auction.com outweigh the pros multiple times. Also, the website has confusing sign-up fees. Extra fees are charged for access to seized vehicle auctions and seized real estate. This is confusing since the website claims to provide this service to its members anyway. There should be no extra fees. Users should be wary.
The Bottom Line The website does offer some of what it claims. You can purchase directly from the source, but Car-Auction.com is not the central source. It only provides external links to governmental and nongovernmental organizations. The website also claims to offer listings in every country and state, and that you can choose from all makes and models. Both claims are not true. Car-Auction.com is an external links database. This is not necessarily a negative aspect because this helps first-time auction users better define and pinpoint their searches. It points them in the right direction, and that is all.
